A practical finance partner

Good books should help you run the business.

The goal is not a bigger stack of reports. It is dependable information, clear follow-up and advice that connects to what you are deciding.

Bookkeeping is the foundation

Reporting and tax work are only as useful as the records underneath them. We start there.

CPA-led context

Transactions are viewed as part of the wider financial picture, not as isolated data entry.

Plain communication

You get clear questions, practical next steps and direct explanations.

Scope before surprises

We review your records, systems and needs before confirming fees and deliverables.

Built around your business

Your reporting package should reflect the decisions, timing and measures that matter to you.

Local and remote

Based in Milton. Serving businesses across the GTA and Ontario through secure remote workflows.

Confidentiality and security

Financial information deserves careful handling.

The tools and access method are agreed during onboarding. We aim to collect only what is needed for the work.

  • ✓Access is limited to the people and systems needed for the engagement.
  • ✓Secure document exchange is discussed before sensitive records are shared.
  • ✓Third-party software and storage choices are explained where relevant.
  • ✓Confidentiality obligations are set out in the engagement terms.

About NEXObooks

Professional experience. Practical support.

NEXObooks is an Ontario-based business focused on bookkeeping, reporting, business support and tax work for small businesses.

Faisal, CPA, MBA

A finance professional who starts with the real work.

Faisal brings a professional accounting designation and business education to the everyday financial needs of business owners.

The approach is simple. First, understand the business and the records. Then build a reliable routine. From there, add reporting, planning or tax support where it creates value.

“Your books should tell you what happened, what needs attention, and what you can do next.”

What guides the work

Four operating principles

Accuracy before speed

Fast work is not useful if the records cannot be relied on.

Clarity before volume

A short, useful report is better than a long report no one uses.

Fit before scope

The engagement should match your systems, complexity and goals.

Plain answers

Questions and recommendations should be easy to understand and act on.

Let’s talk about your books and your next decision.

How it works

A clear start. A repeatable monthly rhythm.

We define the scope before work begins and keep open questions visible throughout the engagement.

Free consultation

We discuss your business, current records, deadlines, systems and what is not working.

Records review

We look at the starting point and identify access, clean-up and information needs.

Written scope

You receive a quote and engagement terms that define deliverables, responsibilities and timing.

Onboarding

We set up the document flow, access and monthly checklist, then begin the agreed work.

Your first call

What to bring

Do not wait until everything is organized. A simple overview is enough to start.

  • ✓Your business type and main sources of income.
  • ✓The accounting software or spreadsheets you currently use.
  • ✓How far the books are up to date.
  • ✓Upcoming tax, financing or reporting deadlines.
  • ✓The questions you want the numbers to answer.

Transparent, quote-based pricing

A clear scope before the work begins.

We do not publish a fixed price that ignores the condition of your books or the support you need.

Monthly bookkeeping

Usually quoted as a recurring monthly fee after transaction volume, accounts, systems, complexity and reporting needs are reviewed.

Catch-up work

Quoted after the backlog, reconciliations, missing information and clean-up needs are assessed.

Projects and advisory

Quoted by project, agreed phase or hourly scope depending on the work and how clear the starting information is.

No surprise package claims. Your written quote will state the scope, deliverables, fee basis, assumptions and any work that is outside the engagement.

What affects the quote

Pricing reflects the work, not just the business size.

  • ✓Number of bank, credit card, loan and payment accounts.
  • ✓Monthly transaction volume and sales channels.
  • ✓Payroll, inventory, foreign currency or project costing needs.
  • ✓Condition of the existing records and amount of catch-up work.
  • ✓Reporting depth, meeting frequency and turnaround expectations.

Small business in Ontario

More obligations. Better reasons to stay organized.

Small businesses can face bookkeeping, GST/HST, payroll, income tax, corporate records and financing requests at the same time.

The finance routine

Keep the basics working together

Not every item applies to every business. The right setup depends on your legal structure, activities, accounts and filing obligations.

Records

Keep source documents, invoices, receipts, statements and reconciliations organized so the numbers can be supported.

Sales tax

Track taxable sales, collected GST/HST and eligible input tax credits where registration and filing apply.

Payroll

Maintain payroll records, remittance information and year-end slip support when you have employees.

Income tax

Keep the books ready for personal or corporate filings and review upcoming instalment or balance dates.

Cash flow

Separate profit from cash movement. Plan for tax, payroll, suppliers, debt and owner withdrawals.

Decisions

Use monthly reporting to watch margins, costs, receivables and other measures that fit your business.

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before you begin.

Do you only provide bookkeeping?

No. Bookkeeping is the foundation, but reporting, analytics, business planning, proposal support and tax services can be added through an agreed scope.

Can you help if my books are behind?

Yes. Catch-up and clean-up work starts with an assessment. We then define the period, missing information, reconciliations and handover into an ongoing routine.

Do you work remotely?

Yes. NEXObooks is based in Milton and can support clients across the GTA and Ontario through agreed remote workflows.

Which accounting software do you use?

The software is selected after the business, current file and workflow are reviewed. We do not claim that one platform fits every business.

Do you offer fixed monthly prices?

Monthly bookkeeping may be quoted as a recurring fee, but only after volume, complexity, accounts, current records and reporting needs are reviewed.

Do you provide audit or assurance services?

No. NEXObooks does not provide audits, review engagements or other assurance services.

Can you deal with the CRA for my business?

CRA correspondence, information requests and account support may be included after authorization and scope are confirmed. Outcomes are not guaranteed.

What happens in the free consultation?

We discuss your business, current bookkeeping, systems, deadlines and goals. If there is a fit, the next step is a records review and written quote.

What should I send before the first call?

You do not need to send sensitive documents for the initial conversation. A simple overview of the business, current software, backlog and key deadlines is enough.

Book a free consultation

Tell us what you need help with.

A short first conversation is enough. Do not send banking details, tax documents or other sensitive records through this form.
